Much of this book misses the point for me and my family. Why have feminists for so long co-opted these animal metaphors to explain their own oppression, yet failed to see that these metaphors only work BECAUSE animals themselves are so oppressed?Carol Adams is among the first to step forward and call for feminist attention to animal rights and meat eating. Names and practices bear a distinctively Celtic flavor (some are so tough to pronounce that there's a guide to help you). Lots of pictures and interesting information about Tim and his band.. As it turns out, the record-labels mishandled their own best interests.So there is certainly some worthwhile stuff here.This book would make a good text for a humanities class, or introduction to law. Nevertheless, I did enjoy the book because I am a diehard Donna Summer fan.
