The people in the office are knowledgeable, and kind; also, the treatment is much less expensive then some of the other treatments that I researched (believe me I did a lot of research). Not in tone, not in harmony, but in spiritual intention. I am sure, however, that for some, this is likely one of the book's winning qualities, and it therefore should not stop you from buying it.. This amazing 15 year old author writes so descriptively you can picture every move. Often a work not detailed in this book (the first of a four-volume catalogue raisonnee) is referred to for comparison, but is not illustrated, or is shown in a postage-stamp size picture (example: a lot is told about the models for Carnation Lily Lily Rose, but the repro itself is about 1" square, and impossible to see in detail. We are "crabbed, graceless creature[s] that deal in weakness," etc.I'm not saying this isn't true. In a purely literary sense, however, the stories in "The Things They Carried" are far better examples of Tim O'Brien's skill as a writer..
