I recommend this book if you're a fan of the Dresden Files but also like your meat a little more rare and enjoy an American style lager out of a can instead of a fancy pants wine. Of all the resources (fish, fur, rumored gold and silver, etc.) that the New World had to offer, for Hakluyt one stood paramount: timber. I would have liked to have read more about his approach to diet and lifestyle but the book is otherwise excellent. This book has decent formal hairstyles, but in terms of everyday looks it's slim pickings. Hart's book is an expansion of an op ed piece he wrote entitled "Tremors of Doubt: What Kind of a God Would Allow a Deadly Tsunami?" that was published in the Wall Street Journal, on the last day of the year in 2004.As a couple of other reviewers have noted, Hart can be obscure at times, but persistence with this book will pay dividends,The title "The Doors of the Sea" is a loose reference to Job, chapter 38..
